NAFO, UKRAINE AND LITHUANIA

The NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization) community is a decentralized online volunteer movement that counters Russian disinformation and raises funds for Ukraine. NAFO is renowned for its strong ties to Ukraine and Lithuania, with high-ranking officials from both nations publicly supporting the group and recognizing its impact. Key connections between NAFO, Ukraine, and Lithuania include:

• Official Recognition: The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's United24 fundraising platform have officially recognized NAFO for its instrumental support in equipping Ukrainian defenders. 
• The Lithuanian Star of Diplomacy: In July 2023, the founder of NAFO was awarded the Star of Lithuanian Diplomacy, one of the highest honors the Baltic state confers on foreign citizens, for the community's efforts in fighting state-sponsored propaganda. 
• The Vilnius Summit: Lithuania actively championed the movement by hosting the first-ever NAFO Summit in its capital, which featured high-level endorsements from Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.
